Use this when you need a new capture from a tab, window, or screen — your mic, quality, countdown, and presentation choices are remembered for next time.

Steps

   Open Record

   Go to Record. Sign in if prompted. Choose a tab, window, or entire screen when the browser asks what to share.

2. 2

   Set audio and camera

   Turn on your microphone and, when supported, tab or system audio. Presentation mode adds an optional camera bubble with blur and shape options. Pick a microphone device when you have more than one.

3. 3

   Pick quality, countdown, and presets

   Set quality from Auto or 720p up to 4K on Pro. Choose a countdown length (or turn it off) and optional countdown sound. Presets such as tutorial or meeting apply several options at once as a shortcut — they do not wipe your saved preferences the next time you return.

   Record and control

   Use the recorder panel or floating toolbar to pause, annotate, toggle presentation layout, and save screenshots without stopping the video.

   Finish

   When you stop, preview the take. Save to your library, download a file, or publish a watch link when your plan allows sharing.

Still frames are useful for docs, bugs, and social posts without stopping a take.

When to use this

Use this during an active recording or from the finish preview.

Steps

   Open the recorder

   Go to Record and choose the tab, window, or screen you want to share.

   Start recording or stay armed

   After you pick a source, you can save a screenshot once Screenzor has a live preview. You do not need to wait for the countdown if you only want a still.

   Save screenshot

   Click "Save screenshot" in the recorder panel or the camera button on the floating toolbar. Shortcut: Ctrl/Cmd + Shift + P. Your recording keeps running.

   Find it in your library

   Each screenshot is saved as a PNG with a timestamped title. Open Library and switch to the Screenshots tab. Pro subscribers also get account backup when cloud sync is enabled.

   Optional: after you stop

   "Save screenshot from preview" grabs one more frame from the finished video. Open any screenshot in Edit Studio to crop, filter, or export. Transcription is for video and audio only, not screenshots.

   Install from the desktop app section on the About page or from your account downloads. Pick the installer for your platform (.dmg, .exe, or .AppImage).

   Open the app and sign in with your Screenzor account. The desktop callback keeps your session in sync with the web app.

   Record natively

   Use Screenzor Record from the menu bar or tray for system-level capture when the browser recorder is not enough. Recordings can sync to your library like web captures.

The extension reduces friction between browsing and recording.

Use this when you want one-click access from Chrome.

   Install

   Download the .zip from About, the homepage Chrome extension section, or /downloads/screenzor-chrome-extension.zip. In Chrome, open chrome://extensions, turn on Developer mode, choose Load unpacked, and select the unzipped folder. A Chrome Web Store listing is not public yet.

   Use

   Click the extension icon for Record, or open Dashboard, Library, Notes, Studio, Calendar, and meeting capture without navigating to the site first.

   Permissions

   The launcher does not request extra Chrome permissions. Recording still uses the camera, microphone, and screen-share prompts on screenzor.com. See the extension permissions disclosure for details.

   Copy the watch URL, grab embed code, or share to social channels from the share modal.

   On a shared recording, turn on Review Mode from watch settings. The recording enters an in-review state.
